Sometimes the Universe taps you on the shoulder and when it does, you must pay heed.
There are certain iconic venues in which I’ve always wanted to perform. In Honolulu, it was the Hawaii Theatre. Check. In Singapore, it was the Esplanade, aka “The Durian.” Check. In San Francisco, the place I’ve always wanted to do a show was the Palace of Fine Arts.
The Palace of Fine Arts figured prominently in one of my favorite movies, The Rock.

The Rock also starred Claire Forlani as Sean Connery’s daughter. Recently, you may have seen Claire in those crazy Dewar’s Scotch commercials on TV. The one where she growls at the screen, “Are ya thirsty, Angus?” I know she’s totally talking to me, even though my name is not Angus, because she’s using such an obviously horrible, fake Scottish accent. And I am indeed thirsty, because Claire gives me the boners.

“But Paul, you are married,” I can hear you say in your heads. True enough, but my wife has a thing for Brad Pitt. He makes her all happy in the horny hole, which I just don’t understand. I mean, look:

Ugh. Anyway, I digress. “Boners” rhymes with “donors” and that brings me full circle to doing a show at the Palace of Fine Arts.
It’s for a good cause, the Asian-American Donor Program. The AADP helps increase the availability of bone marrow donors, which means a better chance of survival for leukemia patients. Please help them in their mission to help others. In return you’ll be treated to a great comedy show with me, Omid Singh, Eli Nicolas, Tina Kim and Jimmy Ouyang.
